Ketosis is an advantaged metabolic state for most humans achieved by reducing your net carbs below 50g daily (sorry, no more sugar, starch, milk chocolate, doughnuts, bread, rice, pasta and potato. Get them out of the house so you are not tempted).  Macadamia nuts are low carb, high healthy fat. When you are tempted by the sugar and carbs, reach into your pocket for a macadamia nut and chew it 50 times!  Avoiding “Keto Flu” by having 2 teaspoons of salt daily. Your decreasing insulin levels as you transition into ketosis will result in more salt excretion in the urine.  Take a magnesium supplement or eat lots of green vegetables or both!
